leaking tiled roofs

It has been too long since writing my last blog, and so much work has been completed in this time.

This time of year in the roofing industry we get absolutely smashed, it has been full on with all hands on deck.

With summer in full swing it is incredibly hot up on the roof, plenty of sun screen, hats and water is on hand at all times.

Over the last couple of months we have repaired several tiled leaking roofs, replaced old and leaking gutters and downpipes on a number of houses, and even a few good sized re-roofs. Most of this work has seen us in and around local areas such as Asquith, Wahroonga, Pennant Hills, Pymble, Warrawee and Mosman, to name a few.

Our current job will see us through to Christmas eve, it is a re-roof on a unit block a bit further afield in Brighton-Le –Sands. The owners have agreed on a French terracotta tile in slate grey. We have stripped half the roof and re-batten and sarked the area, with the back half to go. With over 10,000 new tiles to be laid we are hoping for this dry weather to see us through.

We will then close for 3 weeks, time to rest, relax, enjoy family and Christmas and the New Year.

I have our first two jobs lined up for the 2016 with materials ready to go and several other jobs waiting patiently for our return.

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.

I look forward to getting jobs underway in 2016 and getting back to the blog.
